Janet Guthrie – Executive Director

Janet’s mother is from Kairiru Island in the East Sepik province of Papua New Guinea with her father’s heritage deriving from Dundee, Scotland.

Janet has lived and worked in the Cairns/Cape York region her whole adult life and is committed to improving the health and well-being of Indigenous people. Janet has worked within the Indigenous Affairs arena for over 20 years working extensively across the three tiers of government from within the frameworks of reform.

Since 2006, Janet has worked at a senior level within the non-government sector where she was heavily involved in advocating for a range of transitional and reform methodologies.

Stuart Wright – Property Licensee

Stuart’s was born and raised in Perth Western Australia and through his grandparents influence, travelled extensively throughout Australia exploring the diversity of Australia’s rural, remote and urban settings.

Stuart has worked within the Indigenous Affairs arena for over 20 years including living and working on remote Indigenous communities in Western Australia, the Northern Territory and Queensland.

Stuart has many years’ experience within the Queensland Government including Department of Housing where he worked on projects including the National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness and Indigenous Service Delivery Reform.

Outside of government, Stuart has also worked as a contractor for residential and holiday complexes within Cairns providing support services.
